Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Awasumi platform operated by Koshtak LLP ("Company", "we", "our"). By accessing or using Awasumi, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident, owner, or authorized representative of a housing society to use Awasumi. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • One person may have multiple unit associations but only one account.

3. Use of the Platform

You agree to:

  • Use the platform only for lawful purposes
  • Not harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Not upload malicious content or attempt to breach security
  • Not use the platform for unauthorized commercial purposes
  • Comply with all applicable laws and your society's rules

4. Society Management

Society administrators and committee members have additional responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate society information and member records
  • Manage access permissions appropriately
  • Use financial tools responsibly and maintain accurate records
  • Approve or reject member requests in a timely manner

5. Payments

  • Payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers. We do not store your payment card details.
  • Maintenance bills, fines, and other charges are set by your society's committee, not by Awasumi.
  • Payment disputes between residents and societies should be resolved through your society's internal processes.
  • We charge no transaction fees to residents during the beta period. Any future fee changes will be communicated in advance.

6. Content and Data

  • You retain ownership of content you upload (documents, photos, notices).
  • By uploading content, you grant us a license to store, display, and transmit it as necessary to provide the service.
  • We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.
  • Society data belongs to the society. Individual user data belongs to the user.

7. Intellectual Property

The Awasumi platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Koshtak LLP. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Awasumi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Koshtak LLP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to disputes between society members, payment errors, or data loss.

10. Termination

  • You may deactivate your account at any time by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms.
  • Society administrators may remove members from their society.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via the platform or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
